David,
I'd recommend selecting the over-exposed parts on the right side of the face and use the brightness tool to slightly reduce the selected parts to bring out more detail in the hair on that side of the face.

My first thought was for a more square presentation - like your thumbnail, but I like it as presented with the area above the head giving a nice sense of depth as we can see through the fern like plants and further behind, especially when clicked on for the uncompressed view. This gives the impression that the coyote has stealthily crept forward through the undergrowth to take a peep at you. Nicely done, Dave!

This is unique- love the idea that the coyote is having a stealthy look, perhaps at you! A tricky shot in the very bright light-you did pretty well with it.

Beautiful shot, very well composed with a particular attitude.
I like the effect of the ferns in the background and the blur in the foreground.
All this divides the composition into three plans.
