Gail and I just returned from RMNP where we were photographing elk and the rut.  This is one image I have had a chance to process after returning home.  R5, 500 F4 Version I, 1.4 TC. ISO 1600 1/1000 f 5.6. Very slight crop for composition.  Please click on image to see details.

He must smell wonderful, having had a good wallow in the mud and his own urine, Ed! Great pose from this testosterone fuelled bull as he struts and postures. Excellent capture of this rut behaviour.

Well done Ed. In addition to the other comments I think his eye contact is very striking in this image.
