No matter what clicking noises I made, I could not get any attention.  Crushed my ego...  It had it's ear and attention on other stags to its right.  It happens.... :D      Image in deep grass very early morning. Techs  D850 and 150-600 Sigma Sport.  Iso 1600.

Please feel free to view uncompressed.  Thank you for looking and hope all safe.

Isn't it always the case that when you don't want to get their attention, you do and they run away and when you do want to get their attention, you can't !! In any event this is a really nice portrait of a beautiful stag in wet conditions.

Quite the handsome fellow-love the early morning dew on the grasses-very luminous. A beautiful glimpse of a buck's life.

Loving the early morning colours, and dew drops on the grass Dave, nicely seen with good detail from the brilliant D850, my fav Nikon body.

Such a handsome stag, superb detail, lovely dew covered grasses and sweetest light.  What more could you want!  I see the fact that he didn't feel threatened by you enough to divert his attention off the other stags as a compliment to your empathy for these beautiful creatures.

Wonderful image, Dave!

I concur with all that’s been said. A fantastic image, and I’m sure your camouflage technique contributed to the fine result. Congrats.

David, the grass really adds to the image. Shows how they live. I like the eye contact despite its ignoring your clicks. Head tilt also nice.
