Today is World Orangutan Day!  A wonderful time to remember this critically endangered species and hope that we can work together to save them!
This was taken in Tanjung Puting National Park, Borneo during the height of the devastating 2015 fires.

It always makes me smile to see these infants cling on to mother as she climbs among the high trees, but for how much longer as humans destroy their natural habitat to make way for money making palm oil plantations...... not to mention what happens to the Orangutans that get in their way. A very sad state of affairs - but a lovely image, Diana.

I think this photograph is fantastic. And the opposite poses are brilliant. Congratulations on making this wonderful image.

How beautiful! And poignant-you really bring home the reminder of their endangered state, looking at the infant and hoping it survives. A lovely tribute.
