My apologies for my 6 month absence,
my wife Rossana, our dog Pretzel and I have relocated back home to Australia after 7 years living in Switzerland and then relocated away from our home state of NSW up to the tropics of Far North QLD and designing our new home. Access to my image files/HDD's weren't possible until recently.

This last (NOV/DEC) trip where this image was captured saw many encounters of cheetah mothers with families of 7 (Mara)....YES 7, 6 (Lemek) 4 plus another 4 (Naboisho) and the famous 5 bros coalition "Tano Bora" from the Mara, so very blessed indeed!

Kisaru ankle taps an Impala and successfully brings her down, with 6 (4 mth old) hungry cubs to feed, she needs to hunt just about every day! This mother was amazing and with so few vehicles around this time of year I had the privilege to watch her hunt successfully on 4 different occasions with 1 hunt seeing her take down a pregnant Impala and then abandon it to grab a (also) pregnant Thompsons Gazelle all in a heavy downpour lasting an hour (images to follow)
Lemak concession, Mara.

1/800s .......Yes this was in error, more like 1/1800s was required, but felt the sharpness stands up to fair scrutiny.

Good to see you again, and great action capture, Marc, with both predator and prey completely airborne!

I sympathise with you over the trials of relocating.  I hope you are now settled.  We are hopefully in the final stages of selling and relocating just to another part of England, and the stress, red tape, rules and regulations are off the scale.

Amazing capture! Just the right moment. Must have been quite an experience watch all this-not sure I could stomach it.... but that's real life and death out there.

You're not wrong Carol,
the problems we had to deal with regarding shipping our container of house contents from one end of the world to the
other was a mind field of issues! Plus reimporting our dog back home, etc, etc.
Having said that..... it was more problematic in moving from one Canton to another (a few years ago) inside Switzerland than it was  moving back to OZ.
