After spending days staking them out with little success, this Otter came ashore with a seabird while I was having a bite to eat fifty meters away in the open. Typical. So sandwich tossed, camera in hand, slipping and sliding amongst the seaweed, crept behind a small boulder and sneaked in a couple of shots. Not quite the textbook wildlife photography most people have in mind, but it'll do. This was on the Isle of Mull (Scotland), where I experienced sunshine, rain and sleet, all in the same day. Just another glamorous day in the office...
Regards,

Des

As you know, Des, you can get all four seasons weather in a single day in Scotland - but a small price to pay for seeing such wonderful scenery and wildlife such as these beautiful and entertaining otters hunting around the coast. Nice one!

Nice job catching the full body out of the water and in a good pose. Their is a great sense of habitat here that I like a lot.
