This was a Cheetah that we spent some time with in South Africa. He rested for a large part of the day and as the sun was setting, he began to move. It was obvious that he had only one thing on his mind - dinner! We only stayed for a short while as we didn't want to jeopardise his chances of success by exposing his whereabouts. The light was just starting to be interesting but as always, the welfare of the subject is more important. This was one of the last frames I took. By exposing for the highlights, the darkened surrounding created drama and the intensity of focus on his face completed the story.
