This youngster and a few other feed in this part of the woods most days so it was really a case of waiting for a day when the light is good. I enjoy working in crisp, winter mornings. Find them so very peaceful. I normally settle into position before sunrise. Then just sit in wait and watch nature unfolds.

The warm sidelight really does the image justice. Love the habitat surrounding the fawn.

Love the sweet mood you've captured here in such pretty light- the fawn looks so curious and alert- perhaps waiting for mother to arrive. Lovely!

Lovely warm light for this deer, nice setting too. Shallow dof works well.
