First light Mule Deer.

Likely the most amazing Mule Deer I have ever laid eyes on. Many of us waited for the light to appear and when It did he posed nicely.

It is a drop tine as they are called. Just part of his rack growing in a different direction.

Very nice body conformation in this good looking buck, Terry.  A shame about that large drop tine, but I guess it makes a good back scratcher for the part he can't reach.  It would have been better if that lovely light was a touch further round and didn't cast such  strong shadows on him - but for a handsome male like this, I would still want the shot.  :)
