The Olive Ground Snake is a medium-sized constrictor which is found along the southern and eastern coasts of South Africa.
Canon 80D, Canon 18-135 lens.

The snake is really the master of take-away food. For some reason I find the view of that folded back front foot as the snake swallows the rat, quite sad. More so than if we could just see the disappearing back end.

Well done- really shows the drama of life and death. I am always amazed at how much a snake can swallow-this definitely tells the story.
