Took this image a couple of years back in a river in Devon.  Small crop.  Processing only a sharpening round and shown as seen. Techs were D7100 and 70-200 F2.8  1/1000 F2.8 at ISO 800.  Had been alerted to Otters from some friends so took trip down to see.  Overnight trip and B&B so early shoot do-able.  Usual things with me being dressed up in camo kit but was cold and sitting for a while lets the local nature accept me.

Please feel free to view uncompressed.   My thanks for looking and also want to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy Xmas.

I love watching otters, such fascinating and playful creatures. Nice angle on this one, Dave, and you have captured both the otter and the water ripples beautifully!

Cool shot. Nice detail and the water ripples demonstrate the action. I'd say it was worth the chilly wait.

Very nice David ... I really like the crop and the placement within it and that foreground water is fascinating almost like a painting.

A dynamic image with the angle and moving water, Dave. Great job of capturing the action.

Thank you Cindy.   :)  Merry Xmas.

just thought to add the first image of the otter as seen.  (not good enough to show in it's own right, but ok for dialogue.)  No crop.  As seen. FF.  You know how it is.. Excitement.  Seen target.  crack on.

LOL! yup- I understand the excitement. I have the backside of an ermine photo I cherish just because I saw a ermine in my front yard for the first time ever!
