Red-ruffed Lemur (Varecia rubra), taken in Masoala National Park. Situated in the north-eastern tip of Madagascar, it's not the most accessible location, but it is only one of a couple of places where this critically endangered Lemur can be found. We followed them through some steep slopes and rough jungle terrain before this individual came close to investigate. He/she only stayed for a few seconds, literally, before moving on. This is full-frame at 300mm [2.8] with fill flash.
Regards,

Des

Lemurs are such fascinating animals, and their eyes are amazing. Beautiful golden gaze captured here, Des!

Great color and a very nice capture- so great to see these rare animals here-sounds like a major trek to get this fleeting photo.
