Well and truly clocked by this Fox.  Was in my garden, laying on the grass to intercept it's usual route for some dinner I'd set out.  (very civilised over here, LOL).  PS.  Am happy to say the Fox continued on its journey to it's takeaway.  Happy endings for all.

What a wonderful portrait of this handsome fox, Dave. Sweet light, great color, killer eyes — this image has it all. Brilliant, Dave!

Meaning this in the most positive way Ron, I pale into insignificance after viewing your Fox images which for me has been the bench mark standard for sometime now.  Such a joy to view.  Whilst my own strength probably lies in my affinity with deer which I enjoy immensely, I also enjoy what opportunities present itself.  Happy to share this moment with this Fox.  Thank you.

Stunning!  Absolutely gorgeous portrait of your night visitor, with amazing detail, colour, light - and eyes that really are the windows to the soul.

This is such a treat to view for a fox lover,  like me, Dave.  Very well done.  I love it!    :D

Thank you Carol.  Very perceptive of you.  (appreciated).   Was a late evening opportunity, hence the colder colours..truth is, they turn up after dusk so is what it is.  Always a pleasure to see though, and more so when they ignore me and carry on with their tasks.

You played it well with this fox and it paid off. The eyes say it all and, for a bonus, you got the nose and whiskers in focus!

Absolutely fabulous image David. I love fox images and the process of getting a good one is a blast. It's interesting to note the slight differences between a UK fox and a Canadian one. At this time of year ours have a much heavy coat, literally inches longer to the point that snout, ears and eyes all look slightly smaller because the body looks heavier/ bigger. You really captured an inquisitive look in those eyes, well done .... more please :) An congratulations on the Editor's Pick, well deserved.

Wow- what a look! Your modesty is unwarranted- this is superb. (That's not to say Ron's foxes aren't the gold standard- they are! But you've made the grade, so to speak! ;) )
