Can't beat a good mud wallow for tick removal.  Caught this hind in some fairly deep undergrowth.  Funny bit being I'd put on a leafy head mask barely 30 minutes before but did seem to allow me another 10 meters closer.  500 F4.  1/250 F5.6.  Appreciate a bit busy but was viewing through a lot of bracken but for me, the action and light make up for it.  FF

Please feel free to view uncompressed.  Thank you for looking.

Tells...(continues, I should say) the story- I like the hazy glow and her expression, along with the flying water/mud. Pretty magical scene! I wonder how bad the ticks are where you live. They are horrendous here this year.

Thanks Cindy.  they seem to thrive on the warmer weather and haven't been too bad other than I actually got bit late summer as I was foolishly having some personal training and sat on grass during the exhausted phase, lol....  needed antibiotics to deal with the infection.  Sorry to hear they are bad where you are.  "Marc's " moose have suffered too.

Great moment, pose and I like that we can see the droplets and ticks (I think).

Lovely capture of her shake, rattle and roll action to shake off the excess mud pack! Gorgeous mood with the autumn colours and moody light once again.  A beautiful peep into her world, Dave.  :)
