Nikon d4 500mm.  Hyena on high alert approaching water hole at sunrise.  *edited to fit critique.

Very nice pose and lovely morning light. You could achieve a more asymmetrical composition by cropping off some of the out of focus vegetation on the right, which does not add much to the picture. :)

Very nice light on the hyena and I like the alert pose. Looks like a successful crop as to Ron's suggestion.

RP is better, but the central OOF leaf on the chest is too distracting, blacks/shadows in the face appear heavy and need a slight lift to bring out some detail and form. Can you add the techs please.
