Great lighting to enhance this beautiful bull, Mark. Nice to see a healthy moose- ours are sadly declining due to massive tick infestations. .

If you check the records Cynthia, Maine is far worse (more moose) than Vermont concerning the Winter Tick infestation. It's bad everywhere in New England though. I have photographed many moose with Winter Tick, and occasionally I'll find a pocket of territory where there is little or no infestation - this area is an example of that. Some scientists have said that there is a good possibility we will have no moose in New England in 20 years! I'm hoping that that does not come true! And, yes of course, Global Warming is again the culprit of this tick infestation.  :cry:
