Spotted this couple of stags.  Their attention elsewhere but thought to share.  Interesting thoughts being the younger stag by one year being at the front and the older, holding back a bit.  No real surprises.

Techs.  D500 and Sigma sport 150-600 at 1/160 F8 ISO 100 at 340 FL.  Tripod mounted.  Full frame

Love the whole mood and feel of this one. Very painterly!

The over confidence of youth and the more experienced caution in unfamiliar territory. A lovely image of these two, Dave. I love the symmetry, the subtle differences in their expressions, and the beautiful misty setting that complements them perfectly!

What a pretty pair. You always come up with the most interesting poses in gorgeous settings. What a wonderful series- this shat belongs in the "show" (I hope there will be one?) :)

Perfect mood with the foggy background, and I can not imagine a better setting, particularly with the handsome poses. The fact the stags attention is not directly on you but to your left adds interest to this fine image. Masterful work – looks like a painting, Dave.

Love seeing these guys in their habitat! As mentioned, like a painting.

I love the misty mood. Superb details and framing, you can feel the tension just looking at the image. Very nicely done David!

Dave,
I don't know anyone else that can make art out of Deer. This is yet one more of those dreamy photos of yours that can very well be mistaken to be a canvas painting. Stunning colors. That Sigma seems to be a keeper ! Congrats on EP !

Thanks Kiran.  Appreciated.  Sigma works a treat.  Been a bit of an eye opener.  Still have a hankering for the 500 PF which will probably drop into my kit bag when supply is better here, but that Sigma is just so versatile, and quite acceptable if treated with respect.  You take care..
