Shot a week ago. I never seen American Mink up close in the wild.
This time I was lucky to witness 3 American Minks playing right in front of me in fairly close range. This little cute monsters eat just about anything, rabbits, birds, muskrats, fish, frogs etc.
It was fun to watch them before all 3 disappeared back in the water.
This mink had some injury near right ear...more likely from fighting since they are highly territorial.

Excellent profile portrait if this lethal little predator, Ludo! They are expert killers and not much escapes them. Like this one, they often bear the scars of battle and it was probably lucky not to lose that ear.

Great close-up- they are so elusive. Never heard of 3 playing together. I usually see a flash of fur and gone!

Nice portrait of this handsome little mink. I used to see these running and swimming around Ridgefield NWR, but I haven't seen one in ages. I don't think I ever got this close though.
