I applied neat image to reduce some noise.

A nice view of this healthy looking specimen, Clement! Nice job to spot one during the day, as these are mostly nocturnal and prefer the more wooded areas, but its good to see they are not considered at risk on the IUCN Red List, where their population is listed as stable and of least concern over quite a wide area of African countries. In fact all three Jackal species - Black Backed, Side Striped and Golden, are listed as of least concern. Good to see some stable wildlife species for a change!
