In complete contrast to the previous high key post, this is more of a Velvia touch.  D800 500AF-S at 5.6.  1/320, 400 ISO.  Just love that attitude youngsters show.  (boldness with an underlying nervousness.)....

A much darker mood and sombre feel to this one, Dave with this youngster showing his velvet peeling back from his spikes. Great to see him trying out his regal stance for future use! Beautiful detail.
