Nikon gears.  D850 and Sigma 150-600 S at 600.  1/1000 F8.  ISO 1600.

Amazing how deer use so many senses.  One ear tuned to me.  Eyes and Right ear tuned to the main area of concern.  I sense a feeling of worry with her, as if she was about to bolt by whatever was in her line of sight.   Constant need to be on their toes..  

Portrait mode, with the added inclusion of some bg for context.   Naturally, a different Hind, unless this one decided to stalk me over more than a mile....lol.

Beautiful hind and beautiful portrait, Dave.  That face, and particularly the eye, are so appealing and draw you right in, and I love the soft light and complementary colours.  She is so aware of her surroundings and alert for action.
