Mothers Day! ⁣

Today is a day we celebrate our mothers. We thank them for their sacrifice, hard work, protection, and love they provide us. Without them we wouldn’t have made it into this world. Thank you to all mothers. Who are you grateful on this Mother’s Day?⁣

I am standing on the side of the river. A brown bear and her cub walked from the bushes and into the water towards my friend and I. She stops and thrashes her paws around under water. A moment later, she pulls a salmon up from the deep. Her cub swims quickly to her side hoping for some lunch.

Really a fine image, Jorel. The fact that both bears are looking at the salmon creates interest and is a wonderful story-telling feature.

The look on the cub's face speaks volumes! Please don't forget me...... A lovely behaviour capture with these two and good that we can see both faces clearly.

Thanks a lot Ron! That means a lot. I am getting feeling right now I want some salmon myself!

You never know what your going to get with wildlife photography. I am just happy to be there to witness the moment. The photo is a wonderful image to help remind me of the experience.

I tend to blow past bear pics - Common here, and alas, I’m unlikely to get the opportunity so am jealous, but this is special. Great shot.
