Squirrel eating a fish

This is the first time that I have ever seen a Squirrel eating a fish.

That's different, adaptable little critters. Nice job on the photo even with that tricky dappled lighting.

I know they will eat most things if they find them, and they're hungry, Jake - but like you, I've never actually seen them doing it.  :)

Nice shot. I love the classic S-shape of the tail. I can't tell it's a fish, but that doesn't change anything. (Many years ago saw a ground squirrel cannibalizing a dead relative. And I recently read an article where some researchers had proven that hares would eat meat if they found it, as if this was some big surprise.)
