I agree with Carol's positive comments on this photo. Looks like the seal has a nasty wound on his head which would explain the blood on the ice. Propeller or fighting?

Very dramatic with the ship for reference . Can't tell if the seal is injured or just had a feast-more likely the latter....

I like the inclusion of the ship in the composition. I think it adds some drama.

It would be nice if there was context for the blood, but that may not have been possible.
