A striking image of this little cutie! That face is captivating. Is this near the yurts at Old Faithful?

love these weasels...just an aside, Pine martens are eurasian, though similar American Martens & Pacific Martens are separate critters

Thanks Mike - Google states that American Pine Martens or simply Pine Martens are native to North America.  This was photographed at Algonquin Park, ON.

Leigh, an absolutely wonderful portrait of this Marten! Love the detail and the expression on the Marten's face. Excellent.

One of those wonderful creatures where a person dreams about the day when one finally wanders in front of your camera ... you certainly took advantage of your opportunity and nailed it! Well done.

Algonquin Park, Ontario Visitor Centre is a good place to see Pine Martens as they are attracted by the seed and suet feeders put out for the birds in winter. It can be a good place to get close to these beautiful creatures. You got a lovely close view of this one, Leigh!

What an attractive close-up! So cute...if you're not prey. ;). Love the detail and expression. A poster child if I ever saw one.
