This red fox is from Churchill, Manitoba this past November. She loved to pose for us.  Fairly large crop using 7D2 with 100-400 II and 1.4 TC Hand held.

Absolutely love this one, Ed. Great exposure all the way around and fine comp. Falling snow is cool, too.

Fox + snow = winning combination. I prefer the image to be a little brighter in exposure and the tiny snow drop in front of the eye is unfortunate. Overall still a very nice image.
Regards,

Des

Very nicely done. Glad t see that it isn't captive. Usually such perfect photos tend to be from game farm animals.

Thanks E.J.  Absolutely not captive. This female is the mate of a cross fox in the Churchill area. They both entertained us several times.  This image represents about 35% of the original shot with 5D4, 500 F4, 1.4 TC and enlarged using Ai Gigapixel.  Will print well at 13 X 19.

Re the snow flake near the left eye, I thought about removing it, but I made the decision that it added to the feel of the snow flurry we were in and the conditions the animals live in.
