Yes viewing uncompressed is much better. I really like the stare and the detail. It shows the face of experience. I see you have gotten the reprocessing old files bug. Seems to be contagious.

A lovely study of this old warrior, Dave. You can see he is past his prime - but there is still that wonderful lion stare, and an undoubted light in his eye! He isn't ready to be overlooked just yet.
