We were watching this small pride of lions since the crack of dawn. They have had a good feed on a wildebeest the night before and were drinking and relaxing by the riverbank. This youngster crossed the shallow creek just as the light was at its best. Sometimes we get lucky...
Regards,

Des

It all came together perfectly for you Des, not luck...especially when you waited since the crack of dawn.

Nice walking pose with the implied motion of the water flicking paw, Des.. Something about the light/colour doesn't quite feel right to me but that can be adjusted. I like the overall image and its sweet when the youngsters still clearly show their darker spotted coat patterns like this.

Lovely golden water color. Excellent implied motion with the raised foot and water splash. Agree with Carol that something is off on the color of the lion.
