Cape Buffalo as the sun goes down.  Part of a large herd, but I like this one because it shows Bull, cows and calves in the frame.

Lower Zambezi, Zambia.

10D. Sigma 100-300F4. ISO 200. F8.

Carol, the golden evening light is wonderful. I appreciate the presence of all family members too. A beautiful photograph.

I really love the light here(the light is especially great when the image is clicked on) and getting a great sense of the the environment in which they live!

Carol, gorgeous lighting and atmosphere - love the "glow."  It's great to see the representation of family and also, to faintly see the others, hinting at being part of a larger herd, as you mention.  It's a beautiful presentation!

Beautiful lighting in this Carol. The range of ages and the hint of the herd in the bg all add nice touches.

This is so gorgeous- it looks like a painting I wish I could make! The glowing light and soft environment are superb. This is wildlife as it should be, in a tranquil moment. I love seeing this for that reason among many others. What a cherished memory this must be, Carol.

As mentioned, the light is super. Looks as if these animals are pretty wary of your presence. the alert pose they all have is excellent.

Just lovely! That light is so special, very painterly. I also love the family group with the hint of the heard in the dust behind.
