We are entering peak rut here in west central Illinois. Bucks are chasing and activity is high. Here's a unique opportunity that presented itself at dawn, this doe was more worried about her pursuer rather than me. She led right at me till 20 yards, this is just as she cut away.

Great behavior and action.. Hmmm I was out the last few days here in NW Wyoming and the whitetail bucks are still running in bachelor groups.... Looks like the rut here hasn't really kicked in yet
