They are so good at balancing their massive weight when reaching for their daily sustenance in trying conditions - as this classic behaviour illustrates. This brings back wonderful memories of the lower Zambezi area and the amazing elephants. Nicely done Monique.

This is absolutely lovely. Not only interesting behavior captured at the peak, but the light and colors create a wonderful atmosphere and feel to the image.

This is the kind of light everyone wants when getting a photo of this behaviour. I have been there many times and it has not come together like this for me.
Trust Marlon to get you guys into such a wonderful spot and opportunity!
Congrats, an epic Mana shot.

Thanks Morkel!  I had 'messed up' some opportunities the previous day but luckily this amazing opportunity came our way and this time around, I managed the shot! Full credit to Marlon for his guiding and to Peter our local ranger for keeping us 'crazy photographers' out of danger...
