A handsome specimen taken from a very nice perspective, Monique although the low light leaves the image rather flat.

He is a good looking young lion. I like the pose you captured mid-stride, with all the legs and tail separated. Have you tried brightening it a bit? I can see the light was low at the time though so this probably represents the actual scene pretty well.

It was low light but agree that making it a brighter will enhance it. Have reworked and reposted it.

The fixed stare, raised paw and open mouth are the key parts for me. Overall the image needs more 'Tonal range' to provide the depth, form & detail required to give the subject 'shape', there is no real 'Contrast' to provided this, but it's not just adding Contrast. Some selective sharpening will also help the image and if you have it, then a sliver more below, it's a wee bit tight.
