Hunting for Seal

Svalbard.  Sow and cub Polar Bear searching the shore for seal.  A whale beached on this island which kept them fed all winter, but food is harder to find now. Canon EOS 7D IV, Sigma 150-600/6.3 @ 600, f/11, 1/400, ISO 1000.  Cropped 8x10 format.

Lovely capture, Bob and what a great composition with the placement of these two. Sweet, soft light and colours with the lichen and weed covered rocks which show off the bears beautifully.

The pose of the foreground bear is great and the lichens add nice colors. It’s amazing how large the rear paw is.
