He just wouldn't lift his head!  Canon EOS 7D II, Sigma 150-600/5-6.3 C @ 163, f/6.3, 1/1600, ISO 1000.

But we can see the eye, and the reindeer is nicely detailed. The mountains in the background are beautiful and provide a great sense of place. Good shot, Bob.

When you think those antlers can weigh up to 33 pounds, it must take some effort to lift the head, Bob, and with the short grass season it looks like he's getting as much as he can before the snow returns.  I'd do the same! :) 

Another species and a beautiful backdrop once again.  Great series, Bob!

I like the grazing pose-it looks natural against the beautiful background. Wonderful series-a real travelogue.

Yeah that sounds about right for the experience I had with them. Lovely setting, much greener than it was when I was there.
