Using the power of pictures taken in the cold, 15 below Fahrenheit for this one, to beat the dog days of summer :)

I can feel the chill – it's working.   Nice image of the sheep in stride with great detail. The raised hoof implies motion, and is a bonus.

A nice capture of the walking movement and the snow underfoot is a feast for the eyes in this awful heatwave that most of the world appears to be enduring. Even the green and pleasant landscape of England has been burned brown with wildfires breaking out in the parched vegetation. In the last few hours we have had the first rain since May in our area.

I was there two weeks ago and had a 6 hour layover in Heathrow on my way home from Finland - it was raining cats and dogs...  But people were saying that it was the first real rain in weeks.

Yes, we are about 40 miles or so from Heathrow and it can be raining in one place and not the other.  We were so happy to see the showers this weekend, even the dog went outside and just stood in the rain!    :D
