Male Musk Ox, Anvil mountain, north of Nome, AK

There was often a stiff and very cold wind blowing across the ice.
Very hard to hand-hold big lenses sometimes.

Beautiful animal nicely captured Sandy, I know the feeling of shooting up there in the wind, when handholding a big lens up there I would always try to keep my shutter speed about 1/2000 or higher.

Very nice! I like the setting and the strong wind is apparent in the coat of this shaggy beast!

Brrr! Looks cold- nice capture of the Ox in it's natural environment. Must have been a thrill to see.

Love the pose you caught here, it seems as if the Ox is using all of its might to stay grounded in the gale :)

That looks to be some mighty stiff breeze to have all that fur so windswept. Very nice.
