It was a wet but cold morning when we saw a Tigress calling to her cubs and moving restlessly around the safari trail.

She was sniffing the ground to get any sense of smell, last night another rival dominant male passed thru this area. This is was a big enough reason for the Tigress to find her cubs.

Tigress was continuously calling her cubs, moving in and out the forest. The scene was very tense and the sound was heartbreaking.

This is an image where she was looking into every possible area in the forest to get her cubs back!

Image captured with Nikon D7000 + Nikon 80-200 ( at a distance more than 100 meters)

Thanks

Best you kept your distance. I like the framing using the leading line of the trail. The narrative is very much appreciated. :)

A well composed image, Shreyas, and she must have been very stressed with the presence of a strange male and the danger to her cubs. Did you find out if the cubs were alright?

Carol.

Very nice image showing her in the environment. Glad that you kept your distance, allowing her the successful search.

A very nice environmental shot, with a story that ended well, thankfully.
