A 4 mth old cub and her 13 mth old sub adult male spend some bonding playtime, so important in their early years.
Their chocolate coats indicitive of an early downpour.

Wow you were close, very cool shot Marc, maybe a touch more depth of field for the youngster.

Agree Nate, but with this very early light I just didn't have the DOF & S/S, ISO latitude.

like this Marc.  prefer it to your first shot.  Am sure I posted the same reply yesterday but is clearly not here.  (your first image being of these two but the leading cub being parallel).  Oh well.

edit.

just checked my posts and not recorded.

Many thanks David,

I originally submitted the wrong image and quickly changed it, you must have posted your reply within a minute of that change.

NatureScapes guidelines call for leaving the original image in its place, and for introducing changes by posting a new image (here introduced over a day later) in a reply to the original thread. The logic is that subsequent replies will have the benefit of both images. :)

Totally understand Ron

I changed the image in less than 60 secs of posting never thinking that there would be such a quick response,

so my apologies.

Great perspective on these two, Marc! Wonderful, intense expression on the young male's face and a sweet capture of the interaction.

Cubs at play are so much fun. What a wonderful perspective being so close, giving you the sweeping landscape behind them. Really like this!
