We spotted this Black Panther on a recent safari in the jungles of Nagarhole National Park, India. He was a pretty elusive chap and has just begun being less shy than usual. In the recent past he was hurt in a territorial fight and the scars are visible above and below the right eye (to our left). He took about 3 weeks to heal and is pretty weak for a leopard his age.

I love all the big cats, and the Black Leopard is a wonderful sight to see. Lucky you to have seen one in the wild - and get the pictures!

Were I standing there I might have forgotten to take the picture!
Nice capture and what a thrill just to see this fellow.
