... the Red Panda !
No relation to the Panda, he is a Mustelid, but a special one, as he decided to go vegetarian ! Eats bamboos principally, which I presume, was the inspiration for his name.
Shy, mostly nocturnal and listed as endangered, he lives at highish altitude (circa 3000m) in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Deba and I were lucky to find him and spent close to an hour with him: we enjoyed every moment of it.

Always a sweet and photogenic subject! Lovely face detail but those bright highlights around the head really need toning down as they detract from an otherwise nice shot.

What a rare capture. Love the way the bamboo fronds are sticking out from his mouth indicating it is quite relaxed.
