A bit more head turn to camera would have been better, but the file looks hammered in it's processing. The Blacks & Whites appear to contrasty, there is no mid tones where the detail is and I agree, over sharpened sadly. If you eased back on all the sliders I'm sure the file would retain a lot more of the original capture and finer detail.

I agree with John on the pose and composition but the sharpening looks fine when you click on the image for the uncompressed view.  Nicely done in difficult light!

Carol,
I'm not sure how the uncompressed view is supposed to work , but when I click on the image all I get is a smaller version with a dark background. Everyone keeps saying look at the large view which I don't get on my screen.
 That said the background does seem to make the sharpening less obvious. :)
