This Red Fox male fathered a litter I photographed in the spring. He was an excellent father and worked hard raising his young. This was taken early in the morning, after it had  been raining. Thus, his coat was wet, plus he was shedding. I love the intensity of his eyes, a reminder that he was all business. I cloned part of a tree out of the background. Please click on the image too view it full size. Thanks.

A lovely, natural study of this hard working father carrying out his parental duties!  He can't afford the luxury of laying up somewhere dry and sheltered - he has to be out on the job whatever the weather.  :)

Beautifully done Ron, and the head turn is perfect to show those wonderful eyes!  Love it!

Wonderful portrait! Love the intense stare, those stunning eyes, the bedraggled fur, and the colour contrasts

Another fabulous fox, Ron! Great expression and a wonderful story. He stands out so beautifully from the background as well. Love seeing a real life event sort of photo, perfectly framed. (And I hope it is framed and hanging on a wall somewhere too!) :)

What a beauty shot Ron!. I can feel the wet coat on this gorgeous fox. Like you sad, those eyes are amazing. I never seen fox in the wild. Thanks for sharing the picture.
