Sea Lion at La Jolla Cove, S California.
Note the ligature around his neck, likely from an irresponsibly discarded rope or plastic junk. Thankfully, It doesn't seem to be interfering much with a decent life. Human trash can be deadly for wildlife. I took another image of a much smaller, light-colored sea-lion a few years ago, in the exact same place with the same type of noose. This may be the same critter. 2018:02:02 14:19:32 Nikon D80 Sigma S 150-600mm @ 490mm 1/1600 sec, f/11 Mode: Av Metering: Multi-segment ISO: 1600 White balance: Auto Flash: Off Last edited by Sandy R-B on Thu Apr 05, 2018 8:29 pm, edited 2 times in total. |
