Just got back from Wat'Chee Lodge, Manitoba. My first trip there. It's not easy. Eight days on the tundra and this was our only bear, but we spent about 5 hours with her. She has two cubs.

my hat off to you Richard. Captivating shot. can see the second cub bottom left. Thanks for sharing this under a double set of challenging circumstances... (extreme cold photography and challenging subjects). Hope to see other fruits..

Excellent shot, Richard. The cuteness of the cub is off of the charts! The snow flakes in the air are a perfect finishing touch to your image. Congratulations on this beautiful photograph.

Beautiful portrait that I hope makes the trip worthwhile! Tough circumstances.
Fine detail in the bears, and the cub's face is precious. The falling snow is an added benefit.
Needs some leveling so the trees behind mama are more level.

Thanks all. In addition to the snow and cold the wind was blowing straight at the camera and for those of us who wear eyeglasses, fogging lenses are the topper

Gorgeous family photo- worth the trip, I hope. I see the other cub's face peeking between mama's legs! Be sure to click on this one.

I was hoping someone would have been to see the first cubs of the year emerging, and you don't disappoint, Richard. Always a precious sighting and this is a beauty. I love the gentle expression on the mother's face, that makes the image for me. Well done!

Stunning shot Richard. This is good as it gets. The cub is super cute and second cub resting behind mom's front legs.
