Newbie photographer here, first time poster. Hoping to get some critique/advice/comments on composition and processing.

Shot in the Serengeti Mara region

Olympus OMD EM1 ii + Olympus 12-42 f/2.8

@31mm, f/6.3, 1/400 sec, ISO-200

Welcome, Tim. Great first post. Both the composition and processing look good. I like the feeling of depth you created by including the smaller tree in the background.

While a central subject does not always work so well, in this instance it does - especially with the second tree in the background which adds a nice balancing element, as well as depth to the composition. It is not easy at this size to give useful critique on the detail but what we can see looks like a very nice first image! Looking forward to more.
