Taken earlier today on my first run out with the D850...  techs were 1/2000 F8 at ISO 1600.  Sigma 150-600 OS at 600.  Tripod and  Wimberley head.  Shown today as this was the most challenging lighting of the images I want to show. So we can see how the D850 fares. (back lit, contrasty, with haze and slight mist).

Little blighter wasn't quite sure what I was and was twisting it's head to get a better look..  (Mossy Oak New Break up)

In your expert hands this looks like a great success, Dave! Beautiful shot. I love the pose of this inquisitive fawn and the back light through the damp, hazy grasses is gorgeous! So worth a click for the uncompressed view. Wonderful mood. Love it!

What a great image to introduce us to your D850 with, Dave. The backlight on the fawn is very good, but I'm most impressed with the way it handled the haze and mist in the background. Excellent.

Very nice capture David!. I love the sunlight in the BG. From the picture it seems that D850 has incredible Dynamic Range (not surprised).
I used to have SIGMA 150-600mm (Sport), very good lens.
