Due to the continuing drought in that region for the past 3 years the elephants were very desperate moving all around to get food and water and we did see many elephant carcasses. Once we left Samburu in October 2017, we heard from our guide there that they received few life saving showers and the greenery had come back..

Isn't it wonderful how life giving rain can regenerate the parched earth!  Great perspective on these two, Clement and the dramatic light brings out the hide detail beautifully.
