Four River Otters

First light - there is actually 5 here together, but in this image the fifth Otter is diving for a fish. Central Maine last week, before the cold spell. Now that river is covered with ice.
D850, 600mm, ISO 800, F8 @ 1/320th sec.

Very nice color in water and it's always great having a bunch of otters to photograph!

Why do these critters always make me smile? I like the silver gold sheen of the water. Sadly our local population took a decided hit by the fur trappers in the last recession.
