Here's another shot from the blind near Keang Krachan National Park, Thailand.  This is now not considered a true deer, it is in the Chevrotain family, a group of small old world ungulates, there are 10 species in total in the family.  Interesting that it has long canines, sometimes species in this family are called Fanged Deer.  This is close to full frame.

Thank you for sharing this photo. I had no idea that mouse-deers existed...
And a well executed shot at night, my favourite ambiance.

Thanks Ugolino, it was not taken at night though, just in a dark part of the forest.

Great capture, Nate. A species we don't usually get to see or even know about.

A fine view of this little fanged species Nate! We have two small fanged species in the UK, all originating from animals introduced to private collections but now living wild in our countryside. We have Muntjac and Chinese Water Deer, and when you see them with their sharp elongated upper canines its quite amazing. It is not unusual to go for a walk and see one around here, even on the outskirts of town, and its best to keep dogs on a leash as the deer will use their fangs on the dogs if they get cornered.
