A bit of what I would call - 'a Heinz 57' a real mixture rather than a pure Red deer, as it has markings of a Fallow, yet the looks of a Red Stag, perhaps feral? If anyone can shed some light great.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed the previous thread.

Steve, I am pretty sure this is a Sika Deer/Red Deer hybrid. More and more are appearing in the UK as the two species happily interbreed.

Yes, the thought seems to be more and more that this is a hybrid, albeit in North Yorkshire, rather than the majestic Stags of Scotland, or the  paparazzi Richmond herds, thanks Carol.

Yes, they're in Yorkshire and Lancashire, as well as several other areas.  When I lived in Scotland they were all over the place!
